Bill hader leaving SNL
Bill hader leaving SNL, Bill Hader told The New York Times that he will be leaving Saturday Night Live
at the end of this season. Which is this week! We didn’t even get time
to grow accustomed to the idea. To pre-mourn! Damn you, world.
Bill Hader has been
with the show for eight years and said, “It was a hard decision, but it
has to happen at some point. It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s
just time to go.’”
But that will mean no
James Carville, no Vinny Vedecci, no Dwayne Vogelcheck, no Herb Welch,
no Julian Assange and, worst of all no Stefon. Of course, Seth Myers is
leaving SNL as well to replace Jimmy Fallon on the Late Show, so Stefon would have been terribly lonely.
The Times also points
out that Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armison have made noises about leaving
and quotes producer Lorne Michaels: “I’ve said what I wanted to say to
both. You never keep anybody there who doesn’t want to be there, and
there is a right time to leave, but it’s more about where they are in
their lives.”
Hader says he wants to move to L.A. with his filmmaker wife.
