Heidi Klum rescued two nannies, SUPERMODEL Heidi Klum turned superhero to save her seven-year-old son from drowning when he was caught in a vicious riptide as her family holiday almost ended in tragedy.

She plunged into the ocean to help rescue son Henry and the family’s two nannies as they were swept out while taking a swim off a beach in Hawaii.

“I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water,” said the German model turned TV presenter.

“But Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land.

“We were able to get everyone out safely,” she added.

The sudden drama took place as Klum, 39, enjoyed an Easter holiday on the stunning island of Oahu with her bodyguard boyfriend Martin Kristen and four children Leni, eight, Henry, Johan, six and Lou, three,

Henry had been swimming in the shallows with the nannies when they found themselves caught up in a powerful current that sucked them out to sea.

Klum spotted what was happening and raced down the beach.

While she clutched Henry and led him to safety, her boyfriend also plunged into the water and rescued one of the nannies.

Klum then dashed back into the surf to come to the rescue of the second nanny, who was clearly shaken up by her ordeal.

The two nannies – both middle-aged women – lay prone on the sand gasping for breath as Klum ran to grab towels and water to help them recover.

Witnesses said she was so focused that she did not notice her bikini top slipping off.

Klum, the presenter on the reality show Project Runway, has primary custody of the children following the end of her marriage to British singer Seal.

Since the split she has been dating Kristen.

Earlier in the holiday it had been an ordinary, relaxing break and she tweeted a picture of coloured eggs hidden along the beach with the caption “Happy Easter!”
