Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend

Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend, Maxim gets some slack for its Hot 100 list each year — criticism that usually stems from the idealized racial features and body size of most of the women on the list.
But this year, the list truly touts a standard of beauty no real woman can attain: It includes Lennay Kekua, former Notre Dame football star Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend.
No. 69 on the list is an image of a bikini floating in the air, apparently worn by an invisible woman.
"After Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not?" the magazine said. "She's got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini."
That puts the entirely made-up Kekua ahead of real women like Ke$ha, Zooey Deschanel and Jamie Chung.
Te'o has said he's no longer embarrassed, but the story of his fake girlfriend ignited a media frenzy. The Notre Dame linebacker met his supposed girlfriend online and later believed she died of leukemia. In truth, Te'o was the victim of an elaborate scam involving a woman who never existed.
Te'o, once a top NFL prospect, was not selected during the first round of the NFL draft this year as expected.
Now, he and his fake girlfriend are being dragged back into the limelight again, with the invisible Kekua reaching a surprisingly high mark on the Hot 100 list, though she charted lower than Emilia Clarke, Rihanna and Selena Gomez, among others.
