Kansas toddler missing
Kansas toddler missing, More is being learned about three people found murdered in rural Franklin County, Kansas and a missing 18-month-old girl.
Days after her mother was last seen alive, then found murdered and identified today, little Lana-Leigh Bailey is object of a search throughout Kansas. The child has brown hair and weighs about 30 pounds.
The Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards this afternoon said the mother, 22-year-old Kaylie Bailey of Olathe was one of three people found dead Monday on a small farm outside Ottawa, Kansas. A bag containing toddler clothes and baby bottle was found near the mother’s body.
The dead men, said Richards, lived at the rural property where they and the woman were found. They are 30-year-old Andrew Stout and 31-year-old Steven White.
The sheriff said the Kansas Bureau of Investigation refused permission to issue an Amber Alert for the missing toddler, but a statewide alert was sent out this afternoon for Lana-Leigh Bailey. In the Sheriff’s words “she was last seen at 3197 Georgia Road in rural Ottawa, Kansas.”
While the the KBI refused to issue a full scale, nationwide Amber Alert for the child, something similar, but on a smaller scale, was issued to Kansas law enforcers.
A statement from a bureau director said too much time had elapsed since the child was last seen and media has circulated her picture.
