Mothers day freebies, According to DealNews shoppers shouldn’t expect to find big savings
or huge deals on Mother’s Day gifts in 2013. I beg to differ.
As with many national holidays–whether they be so-called Hallmark holidays like Mother’s Day, or national days of celebration, such as Tax Day, because you’re celebrating having gotten your tax return done–restaurants, retailers and others want to drive you to their door by offering freebies and deals. Mother’s Day 2013 shouldn’t be any different.
In the past week alone I’ve been able to track down 10 free offers for Mother’s Day 2013 along with some deals that are worth giving a second look. Here is my list, in alphabetical order: (Note: some offers contain affiliate links.)

- BedandBreakfast.com: BedandBreakfast.com is offering a special “buy one, get one” promotion for Mother’s Day. Buy a BedandBreakfast.com Getaway Gift Card for $250 or more, and you get another Getaway Gift Card for $75. This offer is good through May 12 using coupon code LUVMOM75.
- Ebates.com: If you’re buying your Mother’s Day gifts online, start your shopping at Ebates.com and get free cash back. That’s where I began my online shopping for my mother’s Mother’s Day gift–and since she reads this blog, I won’t say where I shopped or what I got!
- Glasses USA:
Mother’s Day sale – $50 Cashback + Free Shipping on orders over $99. Use coupon code: MOMFRAMES
- Gold’s Gym: With over 700 gyms nationwide, Gold’s Gym will be offering mothers a free day of fitness at select gyms across the country this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12. That means that on Sunday, May 12, 2013 all moms are invited to work out at participating Gold’s Gyms, free-of-charge. (I could see getting in a good workout before heading home for a big Mother’s Day dinner!)
- IKEA: You can treat mom to breakfast at IKEA on Mother’s Day–that is, she’ll get a free breakfast meal (that normally costs only $.99, big spender), and a free cup of coffee. This free offer is until 11 a.m. only.
- McCormick & Schmick’s: Mom gets complimentary chocolate truffles after her meal at McCormick & Schmick’s. Reservations required.
- O’Charleys: Take mom to brunch at a participating O’Charley location on Mother’s Day, and she’ll enjoy a complimentary piece of pie. Hear that? Free dessert for mom!
- Outback: You’ll get a free $10 gift card for every $50 in Outback gift cards you order for Mother’s Day. Actually, this offer goes through mid-June so you might as well take care of dad for Father’s Day and any graduates you know with this offer. The more Outback gift cards you buy, the more free gift cards you get!
- TCBY: On Sunday, May 12, any mom who enters one of the 400-plus unit TCBY locations nationwide will receive a 6 oz. cup of frozen yogurt, either for self-serve or a small cup or cone in traditional locations, for free.
- Teleflora Deal
: For $20 you’ll get $40 to spend on Mother’s Day flowers via Teleflora. Even though I saw this deal in the Philadelphia section of AmazonLocal, you’ll be placing your order online–so my guess is it doesn’t matter where you live in order to take advantage of this.
